A team of fire-fighters from Green Watch Hertford are running the Hertford charity 10k whilst wearing fire tunics and carrying a breathing apparatus set on their backs.
This is to support the Ron Pickering charity fund and also raise money for the fire-fighters charity.
The race is run over an excellent course and should be a great day out for anyone running or spectating.
The Fire service will have a Fire Safety Information Unit at the finish line and other fire service resources on hand to engage with the local community and offer advice on all aspects of fire and community safety.
Please feel free to come along and meet your local fire service.
If you would like to sponsor Green Watch Hertford please contact Watch Commander Lee Hutchinson at Hertford Fire Station, Old London Road, Hertford, SG13 7LG .01992507611.
